1. Privately owned e-scooters can only be used on private lands  2. Beryl e-Scooters can be ridden on the public highways subject to      a) rider is registered with the scheme for use in Bournemouth and Poole (not Christchurch)       b) rider has a full or provisional UK driving license        c) the Beryl e-Scooter can only be ridden on the roads or in designated cycle lanes where they exist, and NOT on pavements or shared-use walkways

 With our current PCC Martyn Underhill not standing for re-election, there are 5 new candidates contesting the post. 4 are from Political Parties - Conservative, Green, Labour and Liberal/Democrat- plus 1 Independent.  To assist in selecting for whom you would vote, we have invited each of  them to answer 3 questions relevant to actual and potential Watch members.  In November 2019 ADW hosted a public meeting in Poundbury. The event featured a number of speakers giving updates and advice on a number of subjects, it was also attended by the editor of Poundbury magazine who published the following article on the event in the spring edition of the magazine which showcases some of the organisation's work in Dorset.   Hopefully with the end of lockdown now in sight ADW can get back to hosting such events in the not too distant future, so please keep checking back for updates and announcements regarding that !     Littledown Neighbourhood Watch has recently managed to assist 2 new schemes to get up and running. They are Bishops Close (37 homes) and Elmgate Drive (14 homes). Both schemes have been given Neighbourhood Watch information packs and stickers to get them up and running.   If anyone wishes to start up a local Neighbourhood Watch scheme in their community they can find the contact details of their local watch advisor on this website ( About Us > Watch Advisors Contact Details ) or get in contact via the Dorset Alert  website, or through our  Facebook  page, and we will endeavour to give them all the help they need in getting started.
